Snack Tomato Harvesting Enters a New Phase

inaho's harvesting robot has entered its final pre-commercial stage after two years of strong results in the Netherlands. Now, with the addition of Olbrechts BV as the first Belgian trial partner for 2026, interest is expanding across Europe. Performance has reached commercial-ready levels, and only one trial slot remains open for the coming season.

Key Results from 2025 Field Trials

In 2025, inaho conducted trials with a leading snack tomato grower in the Netherlands. The robots have achieved the following performance benchmarks:

  • Harvesting Rate: Consistently over 45%, allowing human workers to handle two additional rows per day
  • Speed: Over 20 kg/hour per unit, with four robots covering one hectare
  • Stability: No major breakdowns reported; steady operation confirmed in real production conditions

These results represent a ~2x improvement in speed and ~3x improvement in harvest rate compared to previous trials. With these advances, inaho’s robot has now reached a level considered commercial-ready.

Why Leading Growers Are Joining Now

“Inaho’s RaaS model made it easier for us to commit — no big upfront cost, and the usage fees are comparable to human labor costs. Seeing the robot already operating in commercial greenhouses gave us the confidence to move forward. For us, this trial is not just about testing a machine — it’s about preparing our team and systems for the next step in automation.”
— Jeroen Olbrechts, Owner, Olbrechts BV (Belgium)

inaho Europe on What Comes Next

“We’re excited to welcome Olbrechts BV as our first trial partner in Belgium. Their participation not only reflects the growing interest across Europe, but also reinforces the credibility of our robot after two solid seasons in the Netherlands. The technology has reached a commercial-ready level, and we believe now is the right time for growers to begin preparing — both operationally and strategically. With trial slots almost filled, early partners will benefit from a stronger position when we move into large-scale deployment, including pricing, integration, and long-term support.”
— Yu Mizuki, Director of inaho Europe

Limited Trial Opportunity: Apply Now for inaho’s 2026 Field Program

We are now inviting a very limited number of snack tomato growers to participate in a one-month field trial during the 2026 season. Only 1 trial slot remains available.

This is not a general release — it is a closed, small-scale pre-commercial program, and robot availability is limited. Participants will be selected based on operational fit and readiness. Priority will be given to early applicants.

As of now, discussions have already started with growers with whom we have strong existing relationships. The remaining slot is limited, and early action is highly recommended.

Benefits for Early Trial Partners

  • Priority access to robots — both in trials and future commercial rollout
  • Pre-adjusted pricing before scale-up
  • Time to optimize operations and team workflows for robot use
  • Increased likelihood that future commercial robot versions will align well with your greenhouse environment and operational setup

How to Apply

We are currently accepting applications for the final remaining trial slot. Participating growers must have snack tomato production in a high-tech greenhouse.

We review all applications individually and will reach out to growers to arrange a brief discussion or visit as part of the selection process. Final trial partners will be selected based on these interactions, and early applicants may be prioritized.
